The 4th arrondissement of Paris, lying on the right bank of the west Seine, includes the Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis, the latter of which is the remains of the Ile Notre-Dame Ile aux Vaches from medieval times. Notre Dame is one of the most famous churches in the world and one of the most visited monuments of the city. Another cultural stop for many tourists is the Centre Pompidou (National Museum of Modern Art) that offers visitors one of the most important contemporary art collections in the world. The Pompidou, created by Studio Piano & Rogers, was opened to the public on Jan. 31, 1977 and became one of the best known symbols of the City of Light. Nearby is the Tour Saint Jacques, almost 52 meters high, which is the only remnant of the church of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie. This area also is home to Place des Vosges, considered by many the most beautiful square in Paris. The 4th arrondissement is the medieval heart of the city and today is a place full of bars, restaurants and shops, such as the famous "Le Georges" restaurant, located on the rooftop terrace of the Beaubourg, providing a breathtaking view of Paris. In this area, the property prices exceed € 12,000 per square meter, mainly for buildings that are located in Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis. Visit our sell page, to know our offer.
